At the end of last year, My Early Morning Jacket announced their new self-titled album SPIN. The highly anticipated release features 11 tracks with a multitude of different sounds from previous albums and is full of well-known collaborations including Bon Iver. It’s been 10 years since this band has released an album so it’s no surprise that they came back with something so strong.

If we’re not counting previous year’s The Waterfall II (given that it was seriously just manufactured up of leftovers from The Waterfall that vocalist Jim James put jointly though he was in quarantine), then My Morning Jacket has not launched a new album because the Obama administration. Seeing as the world is a fairly distinctive position now as opposed to 2015, it only seems ideal for James, Tom Blankenship, and the relaxation of the indie rock team to put out a new album that suits the periods.

Regularly Scheduled Programming
On Oct. 22, My Morning Jacket will do just that. The band’s ninth album (which include The Waterfall II) will be a self-titled function released by way of ATO Documents, and we’ve already received a glimpse into what it’ll sound like. The band unveiled the new album’s to start with one, “Regularly Scheduled Programming,” right now together with the announcement.
“This music actually hits home for me immediately after what we’ve long gone by means of with the pandemic,” James reported in a statement. “But even prior to then, it felt like so quite a few of us had been investing serious life for social media, investing our possess tales for the storylines on Tv, trading our consciousness for medication.
